"Those who love to climb mountains have a very different view of them, and it may be no accident that so many mathematicians are also mountain walkers and climbers. It isn't just the exhilaration of solving the rock face, but the fresher air along the way and the long views from the top that draw them on." (Robert and Ellen Kaplan. I am a Ph.D. student in mathematics at the University of Toronto, working in combinatorics and algebra with a special interest in additive combinatorics. My other mathematical interests include differential geometry, set theory and foundational questions.

I also care deeply about math education at all levels, and have been TAing math and computer science courses for several years. I am optimistic about progress in pedagogy, and the use of new technologies to enhance the learning process.
